Manaphore

Manaphore is a Survival Strategy-Horror game inspired by Five Nights at Freddy's. It involves an element system, customizable difficulty, and enemies that gain new abilities over the course of the game, breathing a fresh yet familiar new air to this point-and-click classic.

Story

Amidst a mana shortage crisis in the kingdom of Fantastica, for the topic of your thesis in order to claim the coveted Gold Rank of the Academy, you chose the creation of life. Specifically, a project to create lifeforms made out of magic that consume mana to produce more in return. Your attempt at the creation of life is successful, giving it the name of Manaphore.

In this experiment, using your own household as testing grounds, you will learn that Manaphore has produced offspring of its own, the Manaspawn, and how they all behave. Where shall this experiment take you in the end, and what surprises will it show you when they begin to evolve?

Gameplay

Before starting each night, you have nigh-total control over the Manaspawn's activity. Spend mana to feed and grow them and get more in return at the end of the night! Then, you can use that produced mana to improve your means of defense! As the Manaspawn grow, they will begin to evolve. They will change their behavior, become more active, and even gain new abilities. However...

...when the clock hits midnight, the Manaspawn will come for you and/or your mana reserve needed to stay awake overnight. But metal doors and cameras, let alone electricity, haven't been invented in your home nation, and wooden doors won't cut it!

Use a Crystal Ball to observe the Manaspawn, wield the power of the elements to ward them off with elemental walls and other artifacts, and call your Familiars to assist in your safety until daybreak at 6 AM! After that, you can harvest the mana they produced during the night! Just be careful to not run out mana at any point!

• Three kinds of defenses that can be upgradeable! Learn how to harness all the elements and optimize your tools to maximize your chances of success!
• Four Familiars to assist in your night! Use them to repair Watch Crystals, stun the Manaspawn, alter their temperatures, and more...
• A research system that dynamically tells you all the details to best understand the Manaspawn and minimize the problems they could cause to you!
• Adjustable difficulty! Is a certain Manaspawn troubling your night? You can choose to not feed it mana and minimize its activity! Are you dozing off during the night because nothing is happening and you want things to happen? Raise everyone's activity to the maximum and enjoy more intense gameplay! Just be sure to not regret your choice.
• Post-game content to challenge players wanting more, including a seventh night and a Custom Night with presets. Be prepared: It gets difficult from this point!
• 20+ Achievements to brag about and 20 Documents that freshen the world around and beyond the experiment!

This game has a high reliance on directional audio. Stereo or Surround Headphones/Speakers are highly recommended for the best and most pleasant experience while playing this game!

This game contains flashing lights, loud noises, some blood, dark environments, and jump scares.
